Congratulations to everybody for reaching the end of 2007!!! 31/12/2007,few more hours to the break of the new year.
A time to celebrate, a time to reflect and a time to plan ahead with anticipation. It really is more than the countless countdown parties that will be rumbling all around the island later today. Yet I wonder how many people will actually just watch this day go past in all the merry-making without pausing to ponder on 2007. Sounds very emo,but then your life only passes once and the things in 2007 are unique. Worthwhile to 'record' them down in my harddrive in my opinion.
Don't think Im gonna post much on my reflections, cos its gonna take like forever and carry me into 2008,then Im gonna miss the countdown for the sake of reflecting alone. Which isnt very balanced too. Haha..
But these are events im thankful for:
-drawing closer to both physical and spiritual family. Tough times truly forge a closer bond between people.
-Baptism. I'll never forget the significance in my belonging on God.
-100k challenge. Opened my eyes to see a little what challenges in the spiritual realm may be like.
-100km walk. First event I ever helped planned in a church environment. So different from secular events!
Of course,events are easy to say. But what counts are the lessons and experiences that can never fade away. Hopefully these won't be forgotten so easily as my own journey into 2008 reveals more roads and pits. I think 2008 will be a year of adjustments for me,just get that strong feeling. Thats why my anticipation for a new year now is like never before. Already, events are happening that point to changes ahead:
-The year of Sabbath,suddenly got different focus. Not so action-packed.
-Changes in my own cell. This my first taste of such transitions. Wonder how is it gonna be like.
-Changes in my medic course. Goodbye to one of the instructors that made it a fantastic course to be in. I know we'll all miss him.
These are but the start. Many more to come. Its like the Titanic saw the iceberg ahead,will it be able to dodge the many icebergs ahead in time? haha. kinda no link... Ah well... Til next time, I dunno when I'll update again cos the long holidays are over. My next leave will be for Chinese New Year. So goodnight blog. And goodnight 2007.
